Scott Boras finds the oddest description for Prince Fielder yet

Those of you who were hoping to start the new year with some substantial Prince Fielder news are going to be disappointed. Though Milwaukee Brewers beat writer Tom Haudricourt reported the other day that the Washington Nationals had become the front runner for Fielder, agent Scott Boras is insistent that the market for his "PF Flyer" remain open in the hopes of luring more owners and their mountains of money.

In doing so, Boras devised an entertaining equation involving elder statesmen that he must have somehow omitted from that big, fancy book that touts all things Fielder.

From Adam Kilgore's Nats Journal:

"Probably the best I can say, he's a combination of Henry Kissinger and Frank Howard," Boras said. "He's got brute strength power. He's a diplomat in the locker room."

Yup. There's a reason why Boras gets paid the big commissions, folks. And at least he had the restraint to not draw any parallels between the right-field bleachers at Fielder's future home and southeastern Asian.

Though as Iracane points out, it's a fun parlor game to throw out alternative suggestions for the weird point that Boras was trying to make. We personally see Fielder as more of a cross between Willie McCovey and Madeline Albright.

Big BLS H/N: Rob Neyer

Bonus: Because it's hard to imagine another occasion when we'll get to run this, here's a picture of Henry Kissinger meeting Lou Brock at the 1975 All-Star game.
