Murphy comes through in 8th, Mets edge Yankees (Yahoo! Sports)

NEW YORK (AP) -- Daniel Murphy hit a go-ahead single in the eighth after being denied a homer two innings earlier, and the New York Mets rallied to beat the rival Yankees 2-1 Monday night for their second straight home win after losing eight in a row.
