Say what you will about the bad-luck Chicago Cubs, but they are the apple of one fan's eye. Literally.
A Iraq war veteran, who lost an eye in combat, has made a unique choice for his prosthetic. It has a Cubs logo in it instead of an iris. Dude, get ready for a lifetime of people offering you Visine and having to answer back, "No, no, that's a Cubs logo. I'm fine."
The Smithsonian passed along this note — which should tell you this is a museum-worthy life decision.Kudos to you, Mr. Mega Cubs Fan. Perhaps one day you'll be able to get a matching World Series trophy tattoo. One day. Just don't schedule the appointment for next October, OK?
Spring training is here. Stretch out with us.
