Looking for a stocking stuffer for the big Chicago Cubs fan in your life? A songwriter named Kevin Henrickson has an album of Cubs-themed Christmas songs entitled "Christmastime in Wrigleyville." It contains such songs as "Ronnie The Snowman," "Christmas Cubby Nut" and "Ernie the Blue-Nosed Reindeer" (above). It's available on iTunes or at songsbykevin.com.
With it being the holiday season, I'll just say that it's an earnest effort. Like Bob Dylan's Christmas album, it probably goes down very well with four (or nine) glasses of egg nog.
Also, after listening to a few of Henrickson's songs, it inspired me to write a Cubs-themed holiday track list of my own. Feel free to add your own suggestions in the comments below.
"I Saw Mommy Kissing Alfonso Soriano"
"O Come All Ye Drunkards"
"It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like The Last 104 Seasons"
"What Christmas Means To Ronnie Woo-Woo"
"Rizzos We Have Heard On High"
"Starlin Baby"
"Josh Vitters and Brett Jackson Got Ran Over By A Reindeer Big League Pitching"
"Kyuji Fujikawa Is Coming To Town"
Stay warm this winter ...
