Citi Field surrounded by water after storm (Photo)

It's too early to tell what kind of damage Citi Field sustained from Superstorm Sandy. The ballpark was closed on Monday — Sandy Alderson  and his front office pals are working from home — and the New York Mets' official Twitter account hasn't tweeted since before the storm. New York media outlets have bigger issues to report today, so we haven't understandably heard from them, either.

Matthew Zimmerman, however, posted this shot of Citi Field on Twitter last night and also posted the below footage to YouTube. It looks like the ballpark is surrounded by the flooding that is also affecting nearby LaGuardia Airport.

The hot stove season is warming up!
