Rockies place 1B Todd Helton on DL with hip injury (Yahoo! Sports)

DENVER (AP) -- Colorado Rockies first baseman Todd Helton has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with right hip inflammation, one of a series of moves by the team as it resumes play after the All-Star break.
