Alex Gordon's Gold Glove win in 2011 was pooh-poohed in some corners, especially by those who thought that the Yankees' Brett Gardner was more deserving of the award.
We'll see what happens in this year's voting, but Gordon landed one highlight-reel worthy clip for his resume during the Royals' 3-2 loss to the Tigers on Monday. While Gardner fans will note that the Yankees left fielder might have made the play standing up, it's still crazy enjoyable to watch Gordon lay completely out to rob Austin Jackson of a hit in the fifth.
