After Andy Pettitte said he was coming out of a one-year retirement on Friday to rejoin the New York Yankees, competition for their starting rotation grew tighter. Ivan Nova didn't help himself on Sunday night. Nova allowed five runs in four innings and his hold on a spot in the Yankees' rotation grew more tenuous with a 6-3 loss to a Baltimore Orioles split squad.
