Beckett is sharp in spring debut, Red Sox win (Yahoo! Sports)

Josh Beckett pitched two scoreless innings and Lars Anderson hit a grand slam, leading manager Bobby Valentine and the Boston Red Sox to an 8-3 victory over a Minnesota Twins split squad in their spring training opener Sunday. Beckett gave up one hit with two strikeouts for Boston, which beat Northeastern 25-0 and Boston College 6-3 Saturday in exhibition games.
