Astros put pistol back on Colt .45s throwbacks

Can we get a 21-gun salute for the victory of common sense?

After initially being told by MLB they had to holster the pistols, the Houston Astros announced on Friday that their Colt .45s throwbacks will include an image of the namesake firearm. New Astros owner Jim Crane credits fans for loudly voicing their opposition to the senseless showing of political correctness. Indeed, it was that outcry that forced the league to let the team make its own decision.

Since we earlier ran a post that revealed Crane's support of the fans, there was really never any doubt that the Astros would reverse baseball's original ruling. The team will wear the jerseys on April 10 and 20 as part of the franchise's 50th anniversary.
