Desmond's slam leads Nats over Phillies (Yahoo! Sports)

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Ian Desmond hit a grand slam in the 11th inning and the Washington Nationals beat the Philadelphia Phillies 6-2 Wednesday night, avoiding a three-game sweep.
