Eric Hinske’s five-game suspension from D-backs, Dodgers brawl reduced to one game

Looks like #FreeHinske worked.

Eric Hinske, who many thought received an unjust five-game suspension after the Dbacks-Dodgers brawl two weeks ago, is getting his suspension reduced to one game, according to Ken Rosenthal from Fox Sports.

The Arizona Diamondbacks utility man was handed one of the longest suspensions despite being a punching bag for Yasiel Puig, and getting called a "peacemaker" in the aftermath. Hinske's suspension caused a small revolt — as his teammates started a #FreeHinske campaign on Twitter and San Diego, home of another Dodgers brawl foe, jumped on board.

Hinske will now serve all one games of his suspension Tuesday night. But this still doesn't mean the #FreeHinske people are totally happy.

They should suspend Puig the 4 games they reduced Hinske. #freehinske
