Angels beat Dodgers for split of Freeway Series (Yahoo! Sports)

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) -- Jason Vargas completed an undefeated May with seven sharp innings, Howie Kendrick doubled twice and scored three runs, and the Los Angeles Angels beat the Dodgers 3-2 Thursday night on Chris Nelson's tiebreaking RBI single to salvage a split of the four-game Freeway Series.
