Notice something odd about this life-size Justin Verlander bobblehead in Detroit?

Mainly, that it doesn't look like Justin Verlander? At all.

Backstory: Fox Sports Detroit is running an "April in the D" campaign, in which it created life-size bobbleheads of local in-season sports stars, such as Verlander, Detroit Tigers teammate Miguel Cabrera, Pistons basketballer Brandon Knight and a few others. The bobbleheads are scattered around downtown Detroit and people can go take pictures with them. Or whatever.

But the Verlander one is a head-scratcher. TV station WJBK (aka myFOXDetroit.com) rightly wonders if the big Verlander bobble looks more like teammate Alex Avila. Here is its comparison:

Avila is a good one. Here at The Stew, we have a few guesses of our own:

Current Tigers pitcher Rick Porcello:

Former Tigers pitcher Armando Galarraga:

* * *

Jamey Carroll, who hasn't played for Detroit, but has the look:

* * *

Another Tigers starting pitcher Anibal Sanchez:

* * *

Ivan "Pudge" Rodriguez, circa 2008 in a Tigers uniform:

* * *

Slugger Jose Bautista of the Toronto Blue Jays:

* * *

Noted ugly player and former Tiger Don Mossi. Yes, even he looks more like this bobblehead than Verlander:

YOUR TURN: Who does the bobblehead look most like? Or does it look like someone else that we didn't mention?

Baseball is back. Don't miss anything.
