Finally, Kyle Lohse has a home. Lohse, the patient free agent pitcher, has a deal in place to join the Milwaukee Brewers, as first reported by Jon Heyman of CBS Sports. Yahoo Sports! Tim Brown confirms it's a three-year deal worth $33 million, which Brown says is likely "below market value."
The where-will-he-land question has been following Lohse for months, after a stellar 2012 in which he was 16-3 for the St. Louis Cardinals with a 2.86 ERA. As recently as last week, reports were that Lohse and agent Scott Boras hadn't budged from their $14-$15 million per year asking price. Lohse remained in limbo, waiting for a team to call, while Boras stumped on behalf of his client, saying the longer teams wait, the more demand there would be.

While waiting out his free agency, Lohse has missed all but a week of spring training. He has been pitching, however. He threw 80- and 90-pitch simulated games last week. When Lohse would be ready to pitch in a regular-season game is unknown.
The Brewers rotation will welcome Lohse. After ace Yovani Gallardo, things take a bit of a dive with Marco Estrada, Wily Peralta and Chris Naverson.
