Hanley Ramirez’s thumb surgery went well and now he’s got this weird foam brace

Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Hanley Ramirez had successful surgery on Friday to fix the thumb he injured in the Tuesday's World Baseball Classic. He's supposed to be out eight weeks, which isn't great news for him, the Dodgers or my fantasy team.

But, hey, on the bright side: He gets to wear this odd foam brace thing that reminds me of a Voltron arm. (By the way, if the Dodgers were Voltron, we can all agree that Matt Kemp is the head, right?)

Ramirez posted the pic on Instagram along with "Todo salio bien gracias a dios," which translates to "Everything went well. Thank God."

By that, he probably also refers to the color choice for his foam Voltron arm. Blue like the Dodgers. How awkward would it have been if it were Giants/Marlins orange?
