Athletics acquire INF Jed Lowrie from Astros (Yahoo! Sports)

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) -- The Oakland Athletics have acquired infielder Jed Lowrie and right-hander Fernando Rodriguez from the Houston Astros for first baseman Chris Carter and two minor leaguers.
