Adam Greenberg strikes out in his one at-bat

Adam Greenberg finally got his one at-bat at Marlins Park  on Tuesday night and, well, it went like we thought it might.

The 31-year-old got a pinch hit opportunity to lead off the Marlins' half of the sixth inning and struck out on three pitches against New York Mets knuckleballer R.A. Dickey.  All three pitches were knuckleballs with Greenberg taking the first and swinging at the last two. Despite the abbreviated moment, he walked back to the dugout and received loud cheers with a big smile on his face. He took fist bumps from Marlins outfielder Giancarlo Stanton and catcher Rob Brantly before manager Ozzie Guillen pulled him aside for a few words of his own.
