William Shatner treks to Fenway for Red Sox-Rays (Video)

Well, beam me up, Scotty! It's William Shatner of"Star Trek" fame, enjoying a Boston Red Sox-Tampa Bay Rays game at Fenway Park on Tuesday night. The first man in space Captain of the Starship Enterprise. Wow.

Not that J. Tiberius Kirk isn't entitled to a little pennant race baseball now and then, but Shatner actually was on hand to be part of a music video being filmed for Brian Evans — "The Croonerman" — who apparently has become part of the Red Sox cultural fabric with his tune, "At Fenway." Hey, if it's good enough for Jim Rice...

Denny Crane!

Below, video of Shatner during the Rays broadcast, which obviously was as smitten as we are:

Guess: The fella with the wavy hair and fancy sleeves in the video's director, and Shatner is asking what his motivation is.

[Editor's note: Hooker's a good cop! And Adrian Zmed is a Cubs fan, you know. All 84 pounds of him.]

Love baseball? Even like it a little?
