As Dave Brown pointed out in this morning's Juice, A.J. Pierzynski's go-ahead home run in Sunday's 4-2 win over the Angels left one little White Sox fan in tears as the fireworks exploded and the crowd at U.S. Cellular Field cheered around him.
But upon further inspection, was the commotion really to blame for the kid's fragile emotional state? I think the screencap below confirms the kid wasn't just crying because there was a lot of noise or because he's a closet Mike Trout fan: 
Providing a little bit of context, that's a male guardian to the child's right leaning away from the blast radius and a female guardian to his left — I'm obviously using the word "guardian" rather loosely — moving at least a seat away toward safety.
Oh, and that's Pierzynksi's plummeting home run — his fifth in five games — landing very loudly and violently in front of the boy. No wonder he was a tad upset.
Luckily the only real victim of the play was Jason Isringhausen and an Angels bullpen that just finished up a pretty bad week. But let this be a lesson to the rest of you: If you sit with a toddler in the first row and don't shield him from danger, you're going to end up being shamed on the Stew. (And, really, that's the best case scenario.)
