Valentine downplays Beckett golf outing (Yahoo! Sports)
BOSTON (AP) Red Sox manager Bobby Valentine on Thursday downplayed the uproar over pitcher Josh Beckett's golf outing after he was taken out of the rotation because of stiffness.
