Shields goes 8 1-3 innings, Rays top Red Sox 1-0 (Yahoo! Sports)

BOSTON (AP) James Shields allowed four hits in 8 1-3 innings, and the Tampa Bay Rays beat the Boston Red Sox 1-0 Monday to avoid a four-game sweep.
