49-year-old Moyer pitches 4 perfect innings (Yahoo! Sports)

Colorado Rockies ' Troy Tulowitzki watches his RBI single as San Francisco Giants catcher Eli Whiteside looks on during the fourth inning of a spring training baseball game Thursday, March 22, 2012, in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Jamie Moyer pitched four perfect innings and made a case to join the Rockies' rotation by helping Colorado to a 7-0 win over a split squad of San Francisco Giants on Thursday night. The 49-year-old lefty was out of the majors last season while recovering from a torn elbow ligament. He struck out four and only Angel Pagan made solid contact, lining out to center field to start the game.
