Prince Fielder traded his video-game self to the Tigers before reporting to camp

You are not alone if you're a Detroit Tigers fan who couldn't wait to see what Prince Fielder and Miguel Cabrera batting back-t0-back looked like.

Prince Fielder himself admits to using one of his sons' video games to take a peek at his new reality before reporting to Tigers camp on Monday. That's not much of a surprise if you know of the 27-year-old's penchant for having kid-like fun, but it's still pretty cool to note that Fielder did the same thing that many of us do with our custom-created video game likenesses.

From MLive.com:

Fielder wanted an early glance at what it might be like, too. So he recently traded his virtual self from the Milwaukee Brewers to the Tigers.

"I just did that at home," (Fielder) said. "Me and my boys, we just traded me over. It's MLB11, but I was on the Brewers, so we just had to make a trade ... It was pretty cool."

Fielder and Miguel Cabrera reportedly had a short meeting in the clubhouse, joking and laughing as Detroit's best duo since Dumars-Isiah came together for the first time. Those of you jonesin' for views of Fielder in Tigers gear no longer have to resort to your Playstations as MLive.com has posted an entire gallery.

No word on whether Fielder simulated an entire season to see if he and Miggy can combine for 80 homers, but maybe he'll have more time once his Lakeland routine starts to form.

Spring training is here, so don't miss a beat ...
