DETROIT — Seeing down into a ballpark from 59 stories above isn't an experience I've often had, so I was surprised to find this view of Comerica Park after throwing back the curtains of my hotel room at the Renaissance Center a few blocks away. Comerica is arguably the most underrated park in baseball and it hosts Game 3 of the World Series tonight.

The giant stone Tigers prowling above the gates make for the best entrance in baseball. It's everything a baseball experience should be: Loud, garish and memorable. Bill Veeck would have loved them.
